Our tour of the neighborhoods in north Vancouver begins in the Sherwood area (a great location), continues in The Highlands (huge lots) and ends with Mt. Vista and WSU.
All of these locations are near the junction of I-5 and I-205. You can't beat that!
The Highlands
The next area featured here is a half-acre subdivision of very attractive and high quality homes.
Nestled in the middle of a larger area called "Pleasant Valley", the Highlands is not your average place to live. Close to all freeways (10 minutes maximum) and next to a highly rated elementary school this is what some would call "perfect".
A very low turnover rate, with large homes for the most part, give this unique area a high profile position in Vancouver. Washington's growth management policy has made it difficult to find places for developers to put in ½ acre subdivisions.
You may have to wait for a home in this area to come up for sale, but it will be well worth it.
Homes range from $500,000 to $950,000.
